The Lake Oswego Lakers moved into a tie for second place in Three Rivers League play with a tough 56-44 win on the road at Canby. The win moves the Lakers to 8-4 in league play, tied with Tigard. The Lakers trailed by one after the first quarter but outscored the Cougars 15-6 in the second quarter to seize momentum. Sterling Roberts keyed the run scoring all 6 of his points in the quarter.
The Lakers again had balanced scoring led by Josh Angle and JR Schilling with 9 points apiece. 11 players scored in the game for the Lakers.
The Lakers next play on the road at Tualatin on Friday night. The Timberwolves sit one game behind the Lakers at 7-5 in Three Rivers League play.
