Lakers News · Introducing the New LOHS Athletic Director: Chris Coleman


Chris Coleman has been hired as the new athletic director and assistant principal for Lake Oswego High School. He is replacing Brigham Baker, who has been hired as the athletic director and assistant principal position for West Linn High School. Both will start officially in their new positions July 1, 2020.

The athletic director is an administrative position. In addition to overseeing the athletic program for the high school, the athletic director is an assistant principal on the school leadership team.

Chris brings more than 14 years of experience to Lake Oswego High School. He has served as the athletic director and assistant principal for Reynolds School District for the past six years. Before that, Chris served as the athletic director and assistant principal, activities director, and assistant athletic director during his tenure with Centennial High School. Chris is recognized for his positive influence and equity mindset in athletics and academics.

“We will miss Brigham in a big way but are confident that he will do a great job at West Linn just as he did a great job here,” said Rollin Dickinson, principal, Lake Oswego High School. “Fortunately, we are bringing in Chris Coleman, who is outstanding. Chris is excited to be joining us, and we are excited to welcome him. We know he will be a positive force.”
