Coach Nikki Jones returns to the Lake Oswego volleyball program with extensive coaching experience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for the game. Most recently Coach Jones was the top 16U club coach for the MAC in 2019 and was the Varsity Assistant at LO in 2018. She was the Head Coach at St. Mary’s Academy from 2007 to 2012 earning Coach of the Year honors in the Mt. Hood Conference in 2009. Alongside coaching at St. Mary’s Academy, she served as Club Director for the Blues Volleyball Club from 2007 to 2012 and coached their top 14s team from 2009 to 2012. She spent 3 prior club seasons from 2006 to 2008 coaching high-level 17s and 18s teams at the MAC. She also coached at Grant High School in 2005 and 2006, where her father Tom Jones was a legendary basketball coach in the 70s and 80s. She learned the passion for sports, commitment and leadership skills from her father and is very grateful to have had such an incredible role model. Coach Jones played volleyball and basketball at La Salle High School and went on to play volleyball for St. Mary’s College of California in the WCC. She is thankful to Lake Oswego for this opportunity to lead the volleyball program this year!
