The Lake Oswego Lakers freshman A basketball team outlasted the Tualatin Timberwolves in a Three Rivers League game. The Lakers scored 25 points in a decisive second quarter to grab a 9-point halftime lead and never trailed again. Sam Abere led the Lakers with 17 points while Casey Graver chipped in 15, including 10 in the second quarter.

Game Recap

The Lake Oswego Lakers dropped a heartbreaker on the road at Tualatin when the Timberwolves scored at the buzzer to pull out a 39-37 Three Rivers League win. The loss dropped the Lakers into a three-way tie for third in the Three Rivers League with Tualatin and Lakeridge.

The Lakers fought back from a 10-point second quarter deficit to tie the game late in the game only to see the Timberwolves find a loose ball and score as time expired.

The Lakers were led by Shawn Elliott who had 10 points in the game.

The Lakers will wrap up regular season play when they host Tigard on Tuesday night. The Tigers currently sit in second place in Three Rivers League play, one game ahead of the Lakers.

Game Recap

The Lake Oswego Lakers moved into a tie for second place in Three Rivers League play with a tough 56-44 win on the road at Canby. The win moves the Lakers to 8-4 in league play, tied with Tigard. The Lakers trailed by one after the first quarter but outscored the Cougars 15-6 in the second quarter to seize momentum. Sterling Roberts keyed the run scoring all 6 of his points in the quarter.

The Lakers again had balanced scoring led by Josh Angle and JR Schilling with 9 points apiece. 11 players scored in the game for the Lakers.

The Lakers next play on the road at Tualatin on Friday night. The Timberwolves sit one game behind the Lakers at 7-5 in Three Rivers League play.

Game Recap

The Lake Oswego Lakers broke open a close game with a 25-11 second quarter and held off the Sherwood Bowmen 59-45 in a There Rivers League game. The win moved the Lakers to 7-4 in league play with three games remaining.

JR Schilling led the Lakers with 11 points while Daniel Baumer, Josh Angle, Sterling Robers, and Shawn Elliott all added 8 points in the balanced attack.
